By Train:

Union Station, Washington DC is the closest main train hub.

By Air:

The closest airport to Georgetown University is DCA National Airport (just over 6 miles). Dulles International Airport is 25 miles away and BWI airport in Baltimore is 37 miles.

Getting Around DC

Taxis:

Cabs are fairly inexpensive in and around DC and journeys will always be metered. You can calculate the potential cost of any journey by taxi here.

From DCA National Airport to Georgetown by taxi is around $20-25 excluding tip.

From Dulles International Airport it is around $60-75. From BWI airport it is $80-90.

There are regular private shuttle services from all airports and also public buses. Check under ‘Ground transportation’ for your respective airport here.

Subway:

There is no subway station in Georgetown itself, but the university does run regular shuttle bus services (free) from several main subway stations and downtown locations. The closest subway stations are Rosslyn and Dupont Circle (the university runs shuttles from both of these) and Foggy Bottom.
